Wendy De Augustine, L.M.F.T., A.T., is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as an Art Therapist. She specializes in individual, couple, group and family therapy. Her areas of focus include art therapy, narrative therapy and working with children, adolescents and adults. She provides therapeutic services through the use of art and conversations. She has over 10 years of experience teaching and working with art students and artists.
Wendy received a 62-unit Masters of Arts degree in Psychology with a major in Marriage and Family Therapy/Art Therapy Phillips Graduate Institute, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Wendy is an Art Therapist who utilizes different techniques through a Narrative and Post Modern lens to provide what is most helpful to her clients.
She is extremely passionate about the use of art in the therapeutic relationship. It is an amazing tool when combined with talk therapy. It is especially useful for children and adolescents who may have difficulty expressing their feelings and emotions, or for anyone who has dealt with some kind of trauma. Art therapy can help cultivate and nurture a voice for children and adolescents when they may have difficulty finding their own.
